Paul Marcoux
Born in Montreal in 1966, Paul Marcoux is essentially self-taught. He works and lives in Montreal since 1998 after being on the North Coast for twenty years and ten years in the Eastern Townships of Quebec.
Expressing freedom, his works are characterized by a sculptural and spontaneous touch; the artist creates a light that comes through in a unique way. His interest in the human figure is apparent in his paintings as it occupies the central place of a scene where the artist plays with perspectives.
Paul Marcoux opens the doors to an imaginary world, rich and colourful where you can find, in a chasé-croisé of glances and lights, vivacity and a great evocative force.
