Marc Nerbonne

22x28 mixed media on canvas
Born August 1st, 1977 in Gatineau, Quebec.
Marc studied at the
University of Quebec at Hull in the Arts and design program. The university
program allowed him to experiment with many mediums like charcoal, red pencil,
photography and explore numerous techniques.
He combines the use of acrylic for its rapid drying, oil painting for attaining
richness in his colours and tar to give a rough and textured side to his canvases.
His work is very atmospheric, filled with contrast and chiaroscuro.
His paintings are veiled in mystery. We are drawn to his tempestuous sky and
his landscapes filled with silence and emotion.
